I have to admit that I have a love-hate relationship with articulation- speech therapy. There I said it. Don’t get me wrong; articulation -speech therapy can be rewarding. There is nothing more exciting than being able to dismiss a student who has reached his/her goal. I find that all too often, articulation-speech therapy to be dull and boring. That is why I have created print and go articulation activities for speech therapy for some of the most common speech sound errors.
Articulation Picture Cards Activities

A good set of articulation picture cards are a must. Each of my print and go articulation activities for speech therapy includes 24 picture cards for each sound in each position. Kids love to color and cut the articulation cards to have as their very own. Articulation cards can be used in a variety of ways. For the little ones, I love to play “hide and seek.” Hide the articulation cards and use a flashlight to find them. Another great way to use the articulation cards with little ones is with wind up toys or a good old fashion board game such as Candy Land.
Cut and Paste Articulation Activities

Often children need to perform an activity to become more familiar with a target word. That is why I love “cut and paste” activities. Have the child produce the target word, color, cut, and glue the picture on the sheet. There are two cut and paste articulation activities for speech therapy for each sound and position.
Dot Paint Articulation Activities

A fun way to work on articulation in speech therapy is to use paint dotters. Grab some dice and use one of the three dotter activity sheets to practice the target sound. If you don’t have dotters, use crayons, markers, or stickers.
Game Articulation Activities

Some of the easiest articulation activities for speech therapy are “print and go” games. A game of Up and Down (Chutes and Ladders), Bingo, or Four in a Row can provide entertainment and opportunity for multiple trials of the target sound.

Articulation therapy doesn’t have to be dull and boring. With my print and go articulation activities, you will have numerous activities available in a flash. Visit The Speech Connection for more great products.
